Day 5

Walked the boardwalk in seaside, ate some corn dogs, had some ice cream, tried a deep fried twinkie (disappointing), tried chocolate covered bacon (I almost threw up) and played on the beach!


Next was cannon beach. The town itself was alright. The beach with all the rocks was amazing but all of the sudden got very cold and windy.


Aiden uncovered a treasure map while he was digging in the sand!! He wasn't interested in reading or following the map and Macie was cold hiding under a towell so I lead the way 30 paces north east to a volley ball court and then another 20 paces to some wood pillars holding up a wall. The map showed an X in front of the 3rd pillar so Aiden and I quickly found the X and started digging. He still wasn't all that interested up until we hit the top of the treasure box! You should have seen his eyes light up! He carried the box with him all over town and everybody that passed by was even asking about his new found treasure! It was pretty cool (obviously the treasure hunt was staged).
