Vacation Day 3

Disneyland here we are! I did my best to prepare for large crowds but it was still overwhelming how many people were there!

First up was the classic Merry go round and Dumbo.

Tea Cups are a must.

The kids insisted riding by themselves on the bus rides to and from the hotel.

I did my best to convince Aiden we were possibly flying into space on the Star Tours ride. During the ride he quickly figured out we weren't in space and proceeded to yell over the music and sound effects how it was actually "JUST A MOVIE ON A SCREEN LIKE AT THE MOVIE THEATER....BUT THE ROBOT (flying the ship) IS REAL."

Tinker Bell's forest and a some dance lessons from the Disney princesses.

Today was a tough day for me as it was Uncle Andrew's birthday. I think about him everyday. Although I have a game face on for the kids and general public it doesn't mean I'm not hurting inside for Andrew everyday at any given time. Happy Birthday Andrew, I love you.

Vacation Day 1

Left home at 4:30am and arrived in Vegas after a good 7 hour drive at 10:30am (there's a 1 hour time change). We couldn't check into our hotel until 1pm so we decided to hit the streets.

Characters were on the streets so Macie and Aiden were able to meet all kinds of their favorite super heroes. Of course we also had to stop by M&M world for awhile.

A photographer was nice enough to take the picture with our camera after she took one with her pro camera setup. She invited us to look her version for purchase which I quickly realized was photo-shopped with a nice Alaskan background and Vegas logo while my version was a plain green screen background. Tricky Vegas! I told Amie no thanks and I photo-shopped my own cheesy background!

Dinner at Hard Rock Cafe where we celebrated Macie's 4th Birthday with presents, singing and ice cream!

Long first day for the birthday girl.

Santa Claus

Went back to Christmas Village so the kids could visit Santa Claus. Macie asked for a nutcracker and Aiden asked for the toy pterodactyl that makes noise when you press his tongue. After visiting Santa we walked around the village and looked at all the mini buildings and lights.

Amie, Macie, Shelly, Grandma Debbie and Grandma Roblyer all went to The Nutcracker at Peery's Egyptian Theater while Uncle Mark watched Aiden and I was out of town for work. Macie LOVED it! She's very excited to ask Santa for her own nutcracker.
