Ogden Valley Balloon Festival

We couldn't seem to wake up at 5am to watch the balloons launch but we did get there in time for the art show. I decided to pay 10 bucks for us to ride the chairlift up to the top of Wolf Creek Resort. Amie wasn't too excited when she found out THERE'S NO SEAT BELTS!! Ate dinner at Jeremiah's


We decided to head back after dinner for "balloon glow" since we didn't wake up for the balloon launch.


Aiden is actually smiling!! He loved it!


They count down from 10 and all the balloons light up at once. Unfortunately it only lasted about 3 seconds and this was the only picture I could take. It was still a lot of fun for a last minute adventure! We'll be a little more prepared next year.

Macie looks scared to death. I'm trying to figure out how I got purple frosting dye on my thumb. Aiden is desperately trying to blow the candles out before I even set the cake down. I love this picture!

Another Rodeo

The kids weren't feeling the rodeo this year so we left a little early. Aiden was concerned saying "those cowboys died that bull! They killed the bull!" they were actually just calf roping but it was still a little sad for poor Aiden to think they were killing them!

Uncle Evan is off to Italy for two years.

Days of 47 Parade

Not positive what "Days of 47" means but it has something to do with Ogden, UT and the rodeo!

side note: Why have I not tried Picasa (Google's photo software) until now!? I've been using Windows crap Photo Gallery for 3 years. I'm just saying Picasa is the perfect solution for those of us who can't afford a Mac! Thank you.
